Lin Siniang

A West Studio Project exploring the legends of the East.

The fabled Lin Siniang came from a destitute military family, learning combat skills at an early age. She was said to wield a sword with deadly precision by the age of six. Forced to survive on her own, she worked as a prostitute in Qingzhou, retreating to the banks of the Qinghai River at night to train by moonlight.

While training, Lin - exhausted and alone - cried into the night for strength. Suddenly, a stream of moonlight engulfed her, transforming her hair into an icy white and forging her sword with a blaze of light. Legend has it that Lin's ancestors lent her their spirits, restoring her will to fight and imbuing her with supernatural combat abilities.

At this moment, King Zhu Changshu laid his eyes on Lin, falling in love and eventually marrying her. She went on to fight many battles and even trained the other royal concubines, leading an elite force of female warriors to protect the feudal king.
